• Personal attacks on others, petty fighting, bigotry, homophobia, and any other form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated. Play nice! All parties involved in a dispute may be removed without warning. The easiest way to end an argument is to ignore the other person(s) involved. Even one reply will encourage them to keep bugging you. We don't care that he or she started it, especially if you are keeping it going.
  
  
• Explicit or illicit material is prohibited. Obscene user names are subject to removal without warning. You may not promote any illegal or commercial activities. A number of individuals have been incarcerated due to their actions on this system. We proactively engage law enforcement agencies as required. You are not anonymous on the Internet. Don't become a statistic.
  
  
• While you are free to advertise your personal home page, you may not advertise any commercial web sites nor may you advertise any other chat lines whether they are commercial or non-commercial.
  
  
• Names are not reserved on the system. While internet etiquette says you should not use someone else's name, you will not be removed for this since technically you are not breaking the rules. The exception to this rule is that you may not impersonate the chat administrator. If this happens you will be removed without warning.
  
  
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who refuses to cooperate with the chat administrator. While you will not be removed because of a personality conflict you may be denied access to the system without warning based on the nature of the offense. In most cases the administrator will explain to you the rule(s) you may have violated and will be willing to work with you to resolve the issue. If you receive a warning be sure to respond and promptly follow the instructions you are given. Insulting the administrator with profanity is the quickest way to ensure that you are banned from the system. In the event of a dispute the decision of the chat administrator is final.
  
  
• These rules are not optional. Your use of this system requires that you adhere to these policies even if you have not read them. If you do not understand a particular rule then you may e-mail us with any questions.

If the text on the screen is too small it may be adjusted by clicking on Settings from within any window. You may resize or move any chat room window on the site. You may chat in multiple rooms at once. You may also set a different color scheme and appearance for each room you are chatting in. Your name automatically appears alongside every message you type, even though the system doesn't show it to you. This helps you separate your messages from others on the screen. It is not necessary to re-type your name before each message. While you are using the system you will need to leave this page and the room list window open. Closing either of these pages will disconnect you from the site. If you are disconnected simply click the buzz-chat.com logo to reconnect. You can minimize these windows if they get in your way.
